In the 15 years since its foundation, Varengold has been a pioneering force in the German Financial Industry.

Foundation
Steffen Fix and Yasin Sebastian Qureshi set up Varengold to become the first German Investment Bank to focus exclusively on Managed Futures, Hedge Funds and Alternative Investments, thus providing German investors with transparent access to these markets.
World Recognition
Using the very latest financial modeling and indicators to improve performance whilst lowering risk, Varengold achieves a Top 10 ranking with International Traders Research, experts in the research and evaluation of managed futures investment programs and publisher of the world's most visible managed futures website.
Licensing
2003 saw Varengold gain its license from BAFIN (the German Federal Office for Financial Services), making Yasin Sebastian Qureshi, one of the banks co-founders, the youngest person to ever achieve this distinction.
New Products
2006 - launch of the highly successful HI Varengold CTA Hedge, the first German fund of hedge funds with an exclusive focus on the managed futures sector.
Flotation
Varengold is floated on the Frankfurt Stock Exchange, whilst its top performing fund of hedge funds, the HI Varengold CTA Hedge, receives widespread recognition as the No 1 German Fund of Hedge Funds.
Awards
In 2007, 2008 and 2009, the HI Varengold CTA Hedge was awarded multiple times as the best German Fund of Hedge Funds by I.B.C Consulting for Institutional Banks and the €uro-Fund Award for 2007,2008 and HFR (Hedge Funds Review) 2009.
Expansion of the Product Portfolio
Varengold Wertpapierhandelsbank AG expands its product portfolio and establishes the Varengold Alternative Alpha mutual fund (UCITS-III funds), which is accessible both for private investors as well as for institutional investors. Furthermore, with a sub-pool of assets, Varengold Investment AG offers institutional investors the opportunity to invest capital safely and transparently in individual target funds of certified and international asset managers for the first time using the internal Managed Account Platform.
The Future
With more than 10,000 customers worldwide and managing transactions worth 10 Billion Euros per year, Varengold is continuing to grow from strength to strength. The bank is committed to maintaining its position as Germany's pre-eminent investment bank specialising in Managed Futures, Hedge Funds and Alternative investments.
