My Career
After studying physics, which is well known for its ridiculous numbers, tons of theory, and a good shot of ivory tower, I ran into the inevitable questions of I could really picture myself in a life of neutrons, leptons and other monsters. But since physics gives you tons of good skills along the way, like analytical intuition and problem solving abilities, and since you can earn your bread with these munitions in plenty of other fields, I found myself prepared for whatever I might run in to. Some friends introduced me to securities trading, which was a lot more in reach than I had thought. You look at the Eurex, and you realize that even with a scientific education, you’re among good company. By now, well, I’ve been at Varengold for a few years, and couldn’t imagine doing anything else.
My Work
As the leader of the back office, I sit in a position in the company where lots of the gears that keep the organization running and in one piece come together. My department takes part in just about every process in the company, in some form or another. The execution of orders, representation for clients, clearing every transaction for you, the client, but also for our partners and all of the other flows of payments all belong to the back office. You might be a client of Varengold, or a trader, partner in whatever way; you interact with the back office somewhere along the line. We look forward to serving you.
About Me
Yeah, what’s left to be said about a real “fish head”? They actually like to say that they’re blessed with a steady mood, a stoic attitude and a tight-lipped character. I hope I’m not always quite like that, but a little bit of colportage could fit me. So yeah, that’s how I am, and I make it into one of my strengths. Anyone who finds their profession and makes a living in a rough field like security trading has done alright if the turbulence comes mostly from inside. No one in the company has to notice that I take every opportunity for a good party.
