WHAT YOU SHOULD KNOW ABOUT US:

Are you motivated to play an active role in developing the internal audit department and reviewing a wide range of banking topics? We offer you a position with a generalist focus that you can fill with flexibility in terms of audit areas and a willingness to learn. As part of our two-person team, you will have the opportunity to support Sebastian in developing the department and take on responsibility.

YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Management and operational responsibility for audits to assess the effectiveness and adequacy of risk management, the internal control system, and all activities and processes of the bank
  • Support in audit planning and structuring work packages, including determining the scope of the audit, risk factors, and quality assurance measures
  • Preparation of focused audit reports and communication tailored to the addressees (management, stakeholders, including supervisory authorities or annual auditors) and follow-up of action plans
  • Participation in the preparation of annual audit plans, quarterly and annual reports
  • Monitoring activities with regard to regulatory requirements, significant projects, new product processes (NPP), process changes, and regulatory requirements, including analysis of these and planning of measures

YOUR PROFILE:

  • Several years of experience in internal auditing at a bank or auditing firm, ideally with a generalist background across various departments (additional qualifications such as CIA are an advantage)
  • In-depth knowledge of banking processes (e.g., lending, securities, payment transactions, compliance, risk management, etc.) and a strong understanding of risk
  • Very good understanding of regulatory requirements (e.g., German Banking Act (KWG), Minimum Requirements for Risk Management (MaRisk), German Commercial Code (HGB))
  • Business fluent German and at least very good English skills
  • Strong communication skills, solution-oriented approach, initiative, and a healthy error culture
