In your role as Senior Compliance Officer, you will assume central responsibility for regulatory compliance and the further development of our compliance strategies.

YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Handling complex structures: You will analyze and evaluate multi-layered and complex ownership structures and corporate structures, such as foundations or SPVs, and ensure that they comply with regulatory requirements.
  • NPP processes: You will play a key role in reviewing and optimizing new product processes (NPP) to ensure compliance with all relevant regulations.
  • Evaluation of customer structures: You will carry out detailed assessments of complex customer structures, thereby contributing to risk minimization and compliance security.
  • Training and monitoring: You will share your knowledge and train colleagues and employees throughout the company to create a high level of awareness of compliance issues. At the same time, you will carry out regular checks to ensure compliance with internal and external requirements.
With a balanced ratio of 50% operational activities and 50% strategic work in the form of training and controls, you will actively contribute to the further development of our compliance culture.

YOUR PROFILE:

  • Successfully completed degree in law, economics, business administration, or comparable qualification
  • 7 to 10 years of relevant professional experience in compliance, ideally in the banking industry
  • In-depth knowledge of working with complex business models/products/processing and customer structures
  • Independent and structured way of working and willingness to take on new challenges
  • Strong communication skills and solution-oriented approach
  • Appreciation of an open culture of error
  • Ability to think outside the box (no silo mentality)
  • Positive attitude and commitment to further developing the compliance standards of Varengold Bank AG
