WHAT YOU SHOULD KNOW ABOUT US:

As the data team within IT, we work together with the Core and Platform Integration teams to shape the success of our data-centric company. In your role as Senior Data Engineer, you will be responsible for our new data platform and the development of modern data solutions. In doing so, you will ensure the highest quality and lay the foundation for data-driven decisions throughout the company.

YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Developing and maintaining scalable ELT/ETL processes for integrating various data sources
  • Managing and optimizing the data infrastructure in terms of performance and scalability
  • Working closely with analysts and specialist departments, from requirements gathering to the acceptance of data products
  • Implementing data governance and security measures to ensure data integrity and regulatory compliancePreparation and continuous updating of documentation
  • Evaluation of new technologies and continuous process improvement (e.g., selection and introduction of a data catalog tool)

YOUR PROFILE:

  • At least four years of relevant professional experience in data engineering
  • Experience in the technical management of project teams is an advantage
  • Very good knowledge of Python (e.g., pandas, pyarrow, dlt)
  • Confident use of SQL and relational databases
  • Analytical skills, problem-solving skills, and attention to detail
  • Plus points: Experience with dbt, Data Vault, AWS services, Terraform
